Multiple multimillion-dollar sales were notched in the Yarra Ranges in 2018, with a $2.36 million sale of a sprawling Chirnside Park estate taking top spot.

The impressive deal for the five-bedroom house was penned in May and was the top reported residential sale, according to CoreLogic data.

The home at 115 Sunset Drive features a home theatre, large billiards domain and stunning formal lounge and dining zone. The hub of the home is a hugely proportioned open-plan family and living area.

The hefty price tag achieved wasn’t enough to set a suburb record, a title held by a six-bedroom mansion that also hit the market this year.

Dubbed the “king of the Yarra Valley”, 145 Edward Rd features a wellness wing with a steam room, a saltwater infinity edge pool, tennis court and home theatre.

The property last sold to a Chinese family for a record breaking $5.69 million in 2015, and after less than 24 months was back up for grabs.

That campaign lasted 246 days seeking “in excess of $7 million”, but ended without a sale.

Five months on, the property was relisted and is still on the market with an $8-$8.8 million price guide.

The palatial pad is still on the market, seeking $8-$8.8 million.

Here are CoreLogic’s other top sales for the Yarra Ranges in 2018.

140 Falls Rd, Olinda also made the top sales list.

It sold for $2.225 million.

83 Old Gippsland Rd, Lilydale was also among the top sales.

The five-bedroom home at 83 Old Gippsland Rd, Lilydale sold for $1.975 million in May.

The three-bedroom house penned a $1.82 million deal in April.

15 Hansen Creek Rd, Hoddles Creek was another notable sale.

In a rural setting with State Forests on either side, this mud brick home offered a relaxed lifestyle in the most tranquil of settings.
